The Revival is Coming Soon
Welcome to a new Berlin cinema concept from the creators of Mobile Kino. The Revival is a new cinema in development with plans to showcase a program of cult classic films screened in a cinema made from salvaged retro cinema equipment. Using real cinema projectors, chairs, screens and sound processors, all recycled from former cinemas and theatres, the project plans to bring back life not only to the films but to these pieces of technology that once played a part in Berlin’s cultural history. The project has been raising funds and buying equipment from former theatres, opera houses and cinemas. The rescued materials are cleaned up and restored in our warehouse and so far include a giant 4K Digital Projector from a Planetarium plus over 400 theatre chairs from an abandoned theatre. Future plans include saving a 35mm film truck that once screened open-air movies for Berlin audiences. The Revival is currently talking with investors as well as raising funds through various projects. Buy a fully restored theatre chair to use in your home theatre, balcony or hallway with all money going towards The Revival fundraiser.
