Fundraiser: Theatre Chair Revival
Keeping with the theme of recycled materials, The Revival has saved over 400 theatre chairs from an old and abandoned Berlin theatre. The historic theatre was originally built in 1952 offering a program of theatre, opera, ballet and film. Over the years the theatre saw many different operators before finally closing it doors and sitting empty for over 20 years. The chairs were removed and transported to our warehouse to undergo careful restoration. The process is slow and expensive but the end result is a beautifully preserved and restored piece of history from Berlin’s theatre scene.

The Revival is Coming Soon
Welcome to a new Berlin cinema concept from the creators of Mobile Kino. The Revival is a new cinema in development with plans to showcase a program of cult classic films screened in a cinema made from salvaged retro cinema equipment. Using real cinema projectors, chairs, screens and sound processors, all recycled from former cinemas and theatres, the project plans to bring back life not only to the films but to these pieces of technology and equipment that once played a vital part in Berlin’s cultural history.
